National Means-cum-Merit Scholarshin Scheme (NNMMSS)-inviting applications from Class-VIlI (8) students
It is notitied for thc infornation of aspiring candidates tlhat under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education is poine to conduct National Mcans-cum-Merit Scholarship Schemc (NMMSS) Examination 2023-24 in February-March 2024 (date to be notificd later on) for the students who are currently on rolls in class Vl in the UT of J &K. The students should have a minimum percentage of S5% marks in class VII examination for appcaring in the selection lest with 5% relnxation for SC/ST students. In addition, the student must be studying in a Government/Government-aided/Local Body School only.

I. A student must pass two tests i.e. Mental Aptitude Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) with at least 40% marks in aggregate (taken together for those two tests). For the SC/ST students, this cut off will be 32% marks examination Copy .
2. The duration of Scholarship is four years and the student has to score at least $5% marks in Class Vill, 60% marks in class X (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates) and clear promotion in the first attempt from class IX to class X and class XI to class XIl. 1069 scholarships will be awarded to the students selectcd in order of merit and the amount of scholurship is Rs. 12000.00 (Rupces twelve thousand only) per annum per student i.c. n total amount of Rs. 48000.00 (Rupces forty eight thousand) for each selected students rom Class IX to Class XII.
The application form in prescribed proforma and other detailed information about the scholarship scheme can be downloaded from JKBOSE website www.jkbose.nic.in. Application form duly attested by the Head of the Institution along with the requisite documents (i.e. class VIl marks certificate, income certificate and categoy ,favoring Liaison Officer, NMMS to be certificate, if applicable) and a pay-in-slip of Rs.60.00 (Rupees sixty only),in JK Bank Account NO.0547010100000002, Branch JKBOSE, Bemina, Srinagar (IFSC Code
JAKAOEXAMBR) must reach the office of the concerned Chief Education Officer (Designated District Nodal Oficer NMMS Scheme) by or before 31" January 2024.
The concerncd C Chief Education Oficers (DNOs) shall prepare the database of the candidates in the preseribed excel fornat (available on JKBOSE website) and submit the Application Forms along with requisite documents and database of their respective districts to CDR Wing. Rehari Colony, Jammu/ Bemina, Srinagar within seven days of the closing date of this notification.
